iriver Showcases Linux Based UMPC

Las Vegas, NV – iriver is showcasing its technology and design prowess at CES 2008 with a host of advanced new lifestyle products that push the envelope for substance and style. iriver is set to make a splash in the PC handheld market with the ultra portable WING. With its stunning white and black clam-shell design, WING is the perfect solution for business and everyday use. Its powerful host of multimedia and Wi-Fi network capabilities includes: Web Browsing, Instant Messenger, Web Mail, Widget, VoIP, Video Conference, SMS/MMS, Video, Photo, Music, Recording, Text View, FM and dual camera.

WING features a big, beautiful 4.0” TFT-LCD Screen with touch screen control and a full QWERTY keyboard. It utilizes embedded Linux Kernel 2.6 and has an increased battery life for on the go confidence. WING includes 4GB of NAND Flash memory and offers an SD Storage option.

UNIT 2 - Multimedia Home Networking Device w/ Touch Screen

iriver now offers the ultimate all-in-one solution for integrating your personal digital content such as music, photos and movies with your TV and set-top box — the new UNIT 2 Multimedia Home Networking device. UNIT 2 features a sleek, minimalist design that enhances any interior. It comes with a Base Unit, Portable Unit, Remote Unit.

UNIT 2’s advanced multimedia, phone and web functionality includes: Audio, Video, DVD player, DiVX player, CD player, FM Tuner, VoIP phone, VoIP Video Phone, SMS/MMS, Web Browsing, Web Mail. Its 7” touch screen interface makes navigation easy and the built-in high-quality stereo speakers produce every nuance of your favorite music and video entertainment.
