Sounds like the rantings of a college kid. Out in the real world, we're here to make money. If customers want a load of extra features, we add them, and then charge the amount that generates the maximum revenue for us. The simple fact is that 99.99-percent of Linksys customers are not interested in hacking their routers. It is a waste of time and money to put any more bells and whistles than the bare minimum.
If you are interested in a more "socially concious" society where we're not working to make money but for some form of general wellfare, I would suggest Soviet Russia or China. Send us a postcard, as I'm sure we'd love to hear how you're doing.
Seriously. Grow up. Capitalism isn't what makes this country weak, it's what made us great.
