I've been using RC1 of this version and guess what? It Just Works. I have tried many, many Linux distros over the last few years and I can tell you, if any have a shot at Windows , Mepis is the one. I use it every day on my Toshiba laptop. I use my windows printers, communicate with win machines on my network, VPN in to work, VNC to remotely control my work machine etc. All out of the box with no config. Linux does not get better. Or easier.
